Non Invasive Acupuncture Technique
Non Invasive Acupuncture Technique
Today we’re going to talk about acupuncture. This is a non invasive acupuncture technique that does not penetrate the skin. There’s a little pin that pushes gently on the skin, it doesn’t actually go through the skin but you will feel a slight prick. The needle is retractable so the harder you push the more it retracts into the base of the machine. You do this for about 20 seconds to the affected area to stimulate the nerves.
This is something called histamine reaction which is similar to western acupuncture but is less invasive. This treatment is very effective against carpel tunnel. You want to directly target the areas where you’re experiencing pain. You’ll stimulate the nerve directly for 20 seconds, then move to a new area. As you move the machine the pitch of the noise the machine makes will change, the deeper the stimulation the lower the pitch. If the machine seems to completely shut off, that indicates that it is making good contact with the nerve.
This is not painful at all, even less so than western style acupuncture. Acupuncture should be followed by medium or deep tissue massage. The acupuncture helps to relax the muscle beforehand, allowing the massage to to penetrate deeper, making it more effective. The effects from the massage will also last a long longer. Typically after the acupuncture and massage, the area treated will feel a lot lighter.
